Halloween Treats!

Hope you are well and are having a great halloween!

I've never really liked halloween ever since I was really young except for all the free sweets that is! But this year I am really excited for it! So I decided that I would make a few treats that I enjoy while being in the halloween spirit!
I would love to see all of your haloween costumes or any re-creations of these treats that you have done! So please do send them to me on instagram by tagging @charley418 or send me them on twitter with @charley0418 (links will be at the end of the post)

I hope you enjoy these! and let me know which ones are your favourite in the comments!

Have a happy Halloween and enjoy eating and making these 3 treats!
Treat one- Skull Popcorn pops!

-1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
-100g unpopped popcorn (1/2 cup)
-4 tablespoons unsalted butter
-135g of light brown sugar (2/3 cup)
-10.5oz of white mini marshmallows
-M&M's and candy corn to use as teeth (but i couldn't find any)

1-Put the vegetable in a pan on a high heat.

2-Add the popcorn kernels and partially cover, when the popping stops remove from heat and transfer to a bowl that has been sprayed with oil.

3-Put the butter, sugar and marshmallows in the bowl on a medium heat and keep string until it is melted and smooth.

4- Pick the popcorn kernels that haven't been popped out of the bowl as you won't need these! Then pour the the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn.

5-Stir the mixture to coat the popcorn fully. Then leave to slightly cool.

6- Then spray your hands slightly with oil and mould into skull shapes around a stick, the pop on some baking parchment.

7- Before they set push some M&M's into the shape for eyes and if you have any candy corn use them for teeth!!

TADAA!!! One spooky treat made!!

Treat 2- Ghost Strawberries!

-30 strawberries
-8oz white chocolate
-1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
-Milk chocolate chips

1-First melt the white chocolate in a heat-proof bowl in the microwave while keep string it until fully smooth.

2- Add the vanilla extract and stir to make sure it is fully mixed and combined.

3- Then dip the strawberries into the white chocolate making sure they are mostly covered evenly. Then place onto baking parchment to set.

4-When slightly set pop 2 chocolate chips on the chocolate to make eyes.

5- When all of the strawberries are done and set melt the rest of the chocolate chips in the microwave or just like you had done with the white chocolate

6-Take a tooth pick and dip it in the melted chocolate. Draw an oval on the set strawberries to make a mouth.

DONE! These are actually my favourite of all the treat because they are the easiest to make but the also look really cute and spooky and they taste the best!!

Treat 3- Rice Krispies Pumpkins!

-6 tablespoons of butter
-Vanilla extract
-10.5oz Mini Marshmallows
-150g rice krispies
-Food colours (orange and yellow)

1- Put the butter, marshmallows and a splash of vanilla extract into the bowl and heat until melted and smooth as you keep continually stiring.

2- Stir in the food colouring until you get the desired 'pumpkin' colour.

3- Add the mixture into the a bowl of the rice krispies and stir until fully coated (i also added more food colouring here)

4-Mist your hands slightly with spray oil and roll the rice krispies into balls or pumpkin shapes
